Course Policies
  • How to get started
    • A few days before classes start, the instructor will send an e-mail to your Gmail account; this introductory letter will explain what you need to do to get started in the subject. Please sign on to your email then, and read your letter from me! The ICT2 online website for the subject will not be available to you before then.
  • Attendance and study expectations
    • The class schedule includes an outline for class content, and due dates for assignments and activity exercises. Students are expected to manage their own time when learning in an online environment; there is no set classroom time or lab time. A reasonable expectation of your time spent would be at least 2-4 focused hours each week.
    • A student may work ahead of the posted schedule, but getting too far behind can make it very difficult to complete the course work. All course work must be completed and turned in the instructor by the due date listed.
    • COMPUTER FAILURE is not an excuse for missing assignments, due dates or activity assignments. If your home computer does not work, you are responsible for finding another computer to use, or going to one of the computer units in the PCT Laboratory or Library PC.

Grading Criteria
The number of points earned by the student, out of the total points possible, will determine the letter grade. The following scale is used:
A               95-100%
B               90-94%
C               83-89%
D               75-82%
F               Less than 75%
General Guidelines:
A.    Institutional Policies
1)      No Permit, No Exam
2)      Students should follow the provisions in the Student’s Handbook

Exam Policy
Exam are taken by you alone. Someone "helping" you is considered cheating and will be dealt with according to PCT's academic dishonesty policy.

Late submission of Activity Hands on or Assignments
There are numerous student activity exercises given during the online class schedule. The assignments, point value and due date are given on the subject website http://ict2online.blogspot.com/ and are due as stated. Late work is not acceptable, so plan your time accordingly.
